How Bibleward works

How we prepare and check a reading

Scripture is the starting point, not AI-generated prose. Bibleward keeps its Bible text separate from background, interpretation, and personal response, and uses recorded checks before releasing prepared content.

Keep the text and the explanation distinct

The displayed passages use the Berean Standard Bible, identified as BSB. Our current passage library was extracted mechanically from a checksum-verified local BSB v5.9 corpus. Each verse has a book, chapter, verse identifier, and text checksum. We do not ask a language model to reconstruct a missing verse from memory.

Context, Understand, and study-guide paragraphs are explanations, not additional Bible verses. Reflection questions and prayer frameworks are optional responses. This separation lets you compare a claim with the passage instead of mistaking fluent commentary for Scripture itself.

Look for evidence, and name the kind of claim

A prepared content pack records sources for factual or doctrinal claims. Exact text and permissions use the publisher’s records; historical or literary background needs an appropriate scholarly or identified teaching source. Search snippets, forums, and model agreement are not theological authorities.

The review distinguishes observations about a passage, background, interpretation, and practical application. When a material Christian tradition differs, the explanation should name the position instead of presenting one view as universal. A source is linked because it supports a particular point, not because its author endorses Bibleward.

Public explanations appear on passage pages with a Meaning & context section. Each explanation is tied to its own version-specific review record; other days retain their prepared content records. A review of one page is not a blanket approval of every new answer or future edit.

What our automated review does—and does not do

AI assists with drafting and review. Deterministic checks verify required fields, references, recorded permissions, and publication conditions. A separate AI-assisted semantic review considers text accuracy, context, sources, doctrinal framing, beginner clarity, safety, and rights. Fluent writing or two matching model answers are not sufficient evidence.

Review records use PASS, PASS_WITH_LABELS, or BLOCK. Content with unresolved blockers is not eligible for publication. A conditional pass requires its labels to remain visible. For our public SEO guides, the build also checks that the content matches the version covered by the review record; an unreviewed edit fails that gate.

These are automated checks, not a claim that an ordained minister, academic, church, or individual human reviewer approved every page. Automated review can miss errors. We do not display invented reviewer names or credentials, and we welcome a specific correction with a source.

Be clear about voices, pictures, and live answers

The English recordings use AI-synthesized narrator voices. Audio checks include the intended text, the mapping of verses to playback, file identity, and listening review. A selected narrator is not Jesus, a biblical figure, or a spiritual authority speaking personally to you.

Illustrations are visual companions, not historical photographs or new evidence about an event. Prepared daily content and live Ask Bibleward responses are different: a live generated answer has not automatically passed the stored daily-content review. Check its claims and sources rather than treating it as divine speech.

Help us correct a specific issue

Use Contact to send the page address, Day number, the disputed statement or audio timestamp, and a source supporting your concern. Please send the issue, not your reflection answers or prayer drafts. There is no need to disclose personal spiritual or medical history to report a textual error.

Bibleward is a reading companion, not a church or a substitute for qualified care. Neither a subscription nor a completed reading can establish a person’s spiritual status. The support inbox is not an emergency service.
